We organise courses and experiential programs on environmental awareness, green economy, group processes and personal development. Our focus is on practical solutions and the ”learning by doing” approach.
We partner in various Erasmus+ projects for youth and in strategic partnerships in the field of adult education. Sunny Hill is also an active member of European networks GEN Europe and ECOLISE.
Nyim Eco Community (Hungary)
Nyim Eco Community was formally established in 2010, through the union of people who are committed to the importance of the process of fulfillment on both a community-based and individual level. The composition of participants has dynamically changed since the onset and continues to change, however we have been continuously striving to maintain the mentality of the initiative at the focus of our attention.
The aim of our organization, Felkelő Nap Association is to support physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of people, and through the renewal of individuals, assist the recovery of societal and ecological systems. We promote community living based on ecological values. We protect the values of life and nature and preserve traditions of Hungarian culture, folk art and agriculture. We would like to contribute to the improvement of the underdeveloped rural areas and settlements mainly focus on Nyim and the region of Siófok, however, our educational activities are organised nationwide. We want to raise awareness on ecological challenges and foster the change of individual and community approaches with educational programs, researches, and cross-community initiatives. We have worked on this field for 10 years now and realise mainly agroecology, self-knowledge improvement, community building and various educational projects. Members of our Association live in Nyim and working toward these goals.
Felkelő Nap is also an interface of national, and european networking, and partnerships. We developed a lot of European connections through creating together the South Eastern European Ecovillage Network, and Western European Ecovillage Network (WEEN- France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) and throught being involved in CLIPS(Community Incubator Program) projects.
